Dear Viewer:

Thank you for taking the time to log onto my web site. The links below will take you to any specific information direction.

My research interests are mainly centered on the molecular biological properties of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and the applied application of this knowledge using the tools of biotechnology, bioinformatics and genetic engineering. My research focus is from a genomic perspective. Model systems that I have worked on include, humans, rat, mouse, Limulus polyphemus (horseshoe crabs), oysters, herbal plants, bacteria and bacteriophage T7/P1.

My advice to students is,“to be balanced in your approach to life, to work hard, take calculated risks, and become an expert in at least one career skill. Life is the most complicated event that has ever occurred on the planet Earth. DNA is the longest chemical polymer and most information rich molecule in the entire known universe! Therefore, the study of life on earth (biology) and the flow of information throughout biological space (bioinformatics) are of the most interesting and important topics for human beings to study. Life is a genetic privilege. Learn to enjoy it”!

Thanx! JP.
